Pat Produced It

Little Rock

There are some who would call charting 14 weeks on the billboards luck. But Arkansas native, Pat “Produced It” Washington says, it’s just getting started. He is what you would call a millennial renaissance man. His growing experience and knowledge within the music and entertainment industry has set him apart from many of his colleagues and soon will put him in position to create opportunities which weren’t easily accessible to other creatives from his hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Pat is most notably known from his recent work on the production of Ride Good by Light Skin Keisha and BSmyth. The song became #1 in Atlanta and was top 10 on urban radio nation wide. There aren’t many producers who can say that this happened and even fewer can relate to that type of success on their first major placement. But with a musical background, it certainly doesn’t come as a surprise..
Growing up in a house with a strong gospel and funk foundation is where his love for music began. He was exposed to and inspired by The Blueprint 2 and The Black Album by Jay Z at the age of 14. He was intrigued by the chord structure of gospel, the basslines in funk and bounce in the tracks that Timbaland and Pharell added to the production on Jay Z songs which ultimately is a representation of his current style as a producer.
Pat is also a skilled musician. His primary instrument is piano/keyboard. He has accompanied major artists such as Avant, Chrisette Michelle, Joe, Mario Winans and a host of others in both the Secular and Gospel/Contemporary Christian arenas. He enjoys the feeling of the energy that is produced on live stages which leads him to make strong attempts at producing the same on records.
His greatest inspiration is Jermaine Dupri. He is inspired by his never ending perseverance in pushing Atlanta to be a pillar in today’s music industry. Pat has a desire to do the same for his hometown. His mission is to help other creative people from Arkansas and other smaller markets like it with aspirations of being in the entertainment industry to reach their goals by providing a quality product, a platform to boost their content and sound advice that promotes their development.
